Our Mission Statement

The mission of this church is to glorify and obey God by (a) lifting up the Lord our God in worship, (b) sharing with each other in Christian fellowship, (c) equipping the saints for Christian ministry, (d) evangelizing the lost of our community, and (e) ministering to the body of this church, the community, and the world.  Thus, in accordance with this mission statement and Acts 2:42-47, this church will devote itself to the following five foundational ministries God has assigned to His church:  Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Service, and Evangelism. 

Because this is the mission God has assigned to His church and because He has gifted every member with specific abilities in carrying out this mission (Rom 12:4-5; 2 Cor 12:12-27), every member shall be an active participant in the work of these ministries (1 Pet 4:10).  Though God has called everyone to the work of these ministries (for every believer is commanded to worship, fellowship, learn, witness, and serve), we recognize that the Holy Spirit has gifted us in different ways with more grace and ability in some areas than in others, sometimes with gifting in multiple ministries.  Thus, every member should serve according to their gifting by the Holy Spirit as outlined in the following passages: Rom 12:4-8; 1 Cor 12:4-31; Eph 4:11-13; 1 Pet 4:10-11.
